This project centers around a historic pub called the New Tigers Head on Lee Green. On the borders of Lewisham and Greenwich this area has been left behind in local regeneration projects. An new state funded school and other commercial developments mean the area is currently undergoing change and we want to help invest in the culturidendtity of the area. Creating a flexible community gallery and arts cafe from this run down yet prominant building will enliven the whole area and give a creative edge to the identity of this locale. We want everyone to be involved and will use funds to establish an arts cafe to consult, produce and present exhibitions and events with the loval community. Inviting artists to residencies that have a track record in delivering socially engaged artworks we will work with local schools and other stakeholders to respond to the needs kf the local area. We need your help and support so please get in touch if you would like to be involved.
