St. Mary’s of the Angeles has freely provided Open Soulz a wonderful opportunity to utilise their kitchen to prepare meals for the homeless. Because of their kindness and outreach to the homeless and poor, we would like to provide funding for a full kitchen makeover. Their heartfelt work with the homeless and poor gives credence to the word Angel. We believe their unconditional generosity, love, and understanding of the homeless and poor clearly reflects the attributes of a messenger of hope.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The rejuvenated kitchen will provide a space for the community to come and utilise a full kitchen for the needs of the community. St. Mary of the Angels was well-known for its celebrated parish priest, Fr. Michael Hollings. A man of deep prayer, little sleep, and astonishing generosity to those in any kind of need, he ministered here from 1978-1997. In his memory, the parish set up the Father Michael Hollings Centre where homeless people are offered breakfast and other services every weekday. What better way to honor and continue his commitment to the homeless and poor?
