Our party will be on the evening of the 4th June. We will have a band, bouncy slide, pig roast, Ice Creams and Bar. A Cake for a Queen competition, Fancy Dress with Royal Theme competition, Regal Games, Royal Themed Tombola and Raffle. The plan is to get the whole community together on the Millennium Green for an evening of Celebration and community-spirited-ness. Many people have offered their support and ideas, and we hope it will be a free party for the community funded by the Parish Council, MHDC and Millennium Green and local community.

What we'll deliver:

• Total cost of party £3,300 approx

Why it's a great idea:

The benefits are huge - bringing the community together, old and new. Integrating new families, getting the elderly and lonely out of their houses to meet and chat, giving the children an insight into Royalty and joining them into the community spirit, and above all meeting your next door neighbours who you probably havnt ever met! It will without doubt create a closer and more bonded community and individual friendships

Steps to get it done:

This is a huge project for the community - not only bringing them together to arrange and organise a local event, but get together to prepare and set up the event, and afterwards a 'taking down' party.
