Kensington Elim Church serves a low-income area of Liverpool, where we aim give a friendly, warm welcome to our community. Currently, besides Sunday services, we run family nights and a weekly toddler group. A dance group also uses our facilities each week. We hope to be able to do more for our community going forward into the future. However, our building is quite old and in need of some renovation. Most urgent of these is our main meeting room floor, which is concrete, and has begun to lift. This is causing a trip hazard. If it continues to get worse (which it is doing) it will become dangerous to all those who use our church. We urgently need to raise some funds to get it repaired! This will involve lifting the old concrete (also requiring us to dismantle our stage), investigating & solving any underlying issues, relaying the floor and hopefully covering the new floor with wood laminate of some description (for easy maintenance) - then rebuilding our stage!

Why it's a great idea:
Without the repairs there will be a potential hazard to our building's users.
