Kirkstall Educational Cricket Club By Kirkstall Educational Cricket Club

KECC is a local community sports club which relies on bar takings and subs to survive. We need your help during the Covid crisis to ensure we can continue to serve our community in the future.

This project was funded on 26 Jun 2020!

Due to the Covid19 crisis, like all sports clubs, KECC has had to close. Without any cricket, we receive no income. We rely on members subscriptions, bar takings and hire of the clubhouse in order to pay our bills. We are run entirely by volunteers. Any support members, friends and members of the public can provide to us during this time would be a huge help and will ensure that we can pay our bills and get ourselves ready to reopen once the crisis is over. We have redeveloped our bar, redecorated our changing rooms, got mobile covers and a net cage and we want to be ready to put that all to good use as soon as we are allowed. We can’t wait to get back down to the field of dreams for some good quality cricket and some even better quality refreshment and friendship!

What we'll deliver:

  • Help pay for critical overheads during the Covid crisis
  • Cut down the overgrown hedge
  • Cover ground maintenance and key running costs

Why it's a great idea:

The more we can keep on top of things during this crisis, the better shape we will be in to get back to playing cricket and serving our community as soon as the crisis ends. We have existed since 1853 and we want to make sure we survive for another 167 years!

Steps to get it done:

  • Financially secure in time for the 2021 cricket season
