Grass Roots Football is one of the cornerstones of British Youth Development. As it is, it is already an effective and essential method of keeping young people out of trouble as well as fit, confident and mentally well. Grass Roots Football has already saved lives in one way or another in it's current form. This project develops that idea and aims to takes it further than ever before. Led by a student nurse, the more than ball program will use one club, Winsford JFC U7's as the starting point to introduce a multi-featured program of healthy eating, mental well-being, life saving training, inclusivity and equality lessons and of course, the most advanced and fun filled football training around. Once the 6 month trial period with JFC U7's is complete, funding will be used to deliver the programs across the country, enabling local set ups as charitable franchises. The program will include Advanced First Aid, age appropriate first aid for children, healthy batch cooking advice and more
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The benefits will be massive. Firstly, the project will help fight obesity through football training, practicable and easy to understand nutrition information and constant exercise motivation and techniques that aren't overcomplicated. Advanced first aid training to coaches, volunteers, teachers and parents, including Mental Health First Aid meaning more people will be able to save lives. Age appropriate first aid and mental health first aid to children as young as 4, because even a little person can do little things that can aid saving a life Football for all coaching training, taking away the sometimes hostile nature of grass roots football and creating an understanding of how this benefits everyone. This will create a better atmosphere between parents, coaches, players and volunteers. Easier and cheaper access to top quality training and exercise equipment.
Steps to get it done:
This project has been planned meticulously for 2 years and is now ready to be crowdfunded. This is the type of project that by funding, you can make a real, dramatic change to the future of young people in this country. As well as all of the above, the program will support current initiatives, particularly NHS initiatives and anti-crime initiatives such as NO MORE KNIVES. This will also tie in to the life saving training.
