We are now seeking funding for an extension building to be added to Iver Village Infants School that would allow us to operate a joint school and community library from those premises. The Board of Governors and the Head of the school are extremely keen on the plan and we have the support of Bucks Library Service who would provide both books and the link into their computer system provided we laid on the volunteer staff for the venture.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Currently we only have an occasional visit from a mobile library which is not convenient for many people. We have also lost a focal point of socialising for many older users. We would also like to provide some form of after school club for children who otherwise have no other outlet.
Steps to get it done:
Increase social cohesion
