Iqra FC (ST Mathews Stars FC) is a Leicester based Football team. We are working to make it a football club to start working with more age groups.

The team is in the Leicester & District Football League and was founded in 2008 to tackle anti-social behaviour and prevent crime within our local community. Our team motto is #TogetherWeAreStronger! Throughout the years many youngsters have come through the team, and this has given our volunteers the opportunity to work with and develop these troubled youth not only on the pitch but also off it. We take great pride in our work when we witness ex-players and some current players finding their own way in society and keep growing as responsible adults.

Why it's a great idea:
Although attempted, it has not been planed and carried out as we are. I speak from experience as I have been in the position that the lads are in now. 1 – the long term is to build a Club not just a team. 2 – Working with the players off the pitch 3 – keep creating Positive distractions for the lads.
Steps to get it done:
£5700 would be sufficient for us to set us up for the coming season and this would be spent on: Home and away Kits £750 Team Tracksuits £750 Training Kit £300 Training equipment £350 First Aid Kit/£50 Team events £3500 (We will focus on team building, eating out as a team, other activities such as bowling, go karting, rock climbing, canoeing etc. also things like inviting motivational speakers and career advisers to speak to the lads so they can benefit from it. (other ideas off the pitch are being worked on)

VolunteerLSA FC is a Leicester based football team. The team aim to be taking part of the Leicester & District Football League season 2020/2021 Our team motto is #TogetherWeAreStronger!
Throughout the years many youngsters have come through the team, and this has given our volunteers the opportunity to work with and develop these troubled youth not only on the pitch but also off it. We take great pride in our work when we witness ex-players and some current players finding their own way in society and keep growing as responsible adults.
Our aim is not to just keep the team going but to build a football club in the near future to cater for all age groups. This would enable us to start working with even younger players from the age of 10 onwards, to try and prevent involvements with street crime in the first place.
I speak from experience as football has personally saved me from the wrong path as it has kept me busy and focused, also met likeminded people some who I am friends with till today and last but not least all the advice as support I received from my coaches.
This hasn’t been don’t previously in our community and for this reason alone makes this idea worthy of support from the crowd and city mayor.
We play our match days at Gleneagles Ave, Leicester LE4 7YH as we rent the pitch from Highfield Rangers FC. We are looking at possible training facilities to train at for the coming season ideal location Aylestone Recreation Ground LE2 6UE.
Due to lack of funds we are struggling to keep the team running and get an ideal affordable training ground and we would be asking to much from our volunteers and plays to fund this.
We have also reached out to our local business for possible sponsors and fundraising and we are hoping to get any help and work together to keep creating equalities and further enhancing our community and Leicester.
