After 8 years operation with the current projection screen, we feel it is time to replace the screen at Hurst Village Cinema. We feel replacing the current screen with a CinemaScope sized screen will improve the enjoyment of the films. Many films are presented in CinemaScope, which means that with the current screen they are displayed with bands at the top and bottom, condensing the image. Replacing the screen for a CinemaScope screen will mean the picture fills the screen and we see a much larger, uncropped image.

Why it's a great idea:

Many films are displayed in Cinemascope format, which means they are cropped for display with the current screen. By replacing the screen the pictures will be displayed in all their glory and provide much more enjoyment. It will also improve the vision for people.
