One Good Friday 2020 (OGF 2020) will bring the Easter story to life, engaging the community with a message of unity and hope. Two free and accessible open air performances on Friday April 10th, a town trail, concessions stalls available throughout the day, and music on the Carfax Bandstand will make this an attractive full day event for local residents and visitors. Horsham is one of only eight venues selected to stage the Wintershall Passion Play for the first time in 2020. Horsham District Council fully supports this event, working in partnership with the OGF 2020 team by contributing ongoing practical and technical assistance. Thousands are expected to gather on the day for this great community event. The Horsham Passion Play is being produced by Horsham Churches Together with a community-led cast and crew of over 70 volunteers who are being professionally coached and directed twice weekly. Other local organisations are helping with producing props and promotion of the event.

The project provides the opportunity for people in a large, growing town to get to know one another across the generations and ethnicities, working together as a team, enhancing community cohesion and enhancing employability skills.
