Henfield Football Club By Henfield Football Club

We are looking to re-build our Club House so that it will be the centre of our village. It will provide a central location for our 13 youth teams and 2 adult teams and encourage more players.

Our current Club House is not fit for purpose and we are looking to do a complete re-build. The new Club House will be a 2 storey building. The ground floor will comprise home and away changing rooms and a separate referee changing room to comply with FA regulations. Upstairs will comprise of a bar and function room area that will be used by the football club and will be for use by the local schools and other groups. Our aim is to provide a community space where players, families and other people will want to come and socialise while watching football. Our aim is to promote our Football Club and grow the game by encouraging people to come to Henfield. We want to provide a healthy environment for people growing up in our great village. In addition part of the build will be provided to the Parish Council to house a team of people we call the Shedders. The purpose of this group is to provide a place in the community where people can come together to pursue community activities.

What we'll deliver:

  • Re-build our Club House
  • Provide FA approved facilities for our community
  • Grow the game
  • Provide a facility that everyone in the community can use
  • Provide a healthy environment

Why it's a great idea:

Our community is growing quickly and we have more people moving to the village. This will be the centre of the village and provide football facilities from U6's right through to Senior level football. At the moment people do not want to come to our Club House as it is not fit for purpose and not structurally safe. This will be a great place to teach football and bring the families and community together. Combining this with our team of local volunteers who carry out projects in the community we will be helping a wide age range.

Steps to get it done:

  • Communication to the local community of alternative arrangements for football facilities
  • Demolition of current facility
  • Foundation and ground preparation
  • Building commenced
  • Building complete
  • Internal furnishings complete
  • Opening ceremony/marketing
