Carmel & District Cricket Club By Carmel & District Cricket Club

COVID-19 has left Carmel & District Cricket Club without a major source of income - cricket matches. The club desperately needs donations - no matter how small - to survive the pandemic.

The 2020 cricket season is set to be a disaster for Carmel & District Cricket Club - on and off the pitch. Our cricketers are likely to be left without the opportunity to play their favourite summer sport because of restrictions in place following the COVID-19 pandemic. In reality, no matches means no income. This has left the club's finances in a perilous state. We still have many of the usual financial expenditures - insurance, bills, equipment etc - but have been deprived of our two major income streams: membership subscriptions, match fees and bar takings. We need donations from members of the public to help us survive what is a challenging period, especially given Coronavirus may well stop play for the whole of this season. This income will ensure cricket can continue when life begins to return to normal. Please help us if you are in a position to do so - every donation, no matter how small, will help keep us going.

What we'll deliver:

  • Enable cricket to continue for adults and children
  • Provide a hub for community and social events
  • Promote good physical and mental health

Why it's a great idea:

It will ensure the continuation of a vital community asset despite the COVID-19 outbreak.

Steps to get it done:

  • Covering immediate club expenditure - insurance, bills etc
