SWCC have long been overdue a change of machinery to cut the grass but simply haven't had the funds to. Having used the current tractor for nearly 25 years, its finally got to a point where we need to invest into an alternative method going forwards as it isn't a viable option anymore. The proposition is to purchase a 2nd hand sit-on cylinder mower. Not only will this be easier for members to use, but it will also allow for much better general maintenance of our ground. Of course these don't come cheap and even a 2nd hand machine is priced at about £9000 which is beyond our budget at SWCC. We really need members help to contribute towards the cost of this machinery and not leave it to the few to donate a the majority of money needed. Although a big investment, please consider this will help build for the future of South Weald Cricket Club and allow us all to enjoy the club for many more years to come.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
- The basic need of being able to cut the outfield during the season - Better maintained pitch and overall higher quality ground care - Easier (and safer) to cut the grass - Future playing conditions of the club
