COVID-19 has had a huge impact on Hanford Cricket Club. We have suffered a huge loss of income due to reduced food sales, bar sales, no subs and reduced sponsorship.
We desperately need to replace our badly damaged 25 year old roof for the club. We had lots of fundraising events planned towards the Roof Fund project that have not been able to take place. We want to continue to be a place for the whole community to come together to socialise and enjoy, but to enjoy with a dry ceiling over their heads!! As you will see from the photos, the groundsheet that would normally be used on the square when it rains is currently protecting the roof from further rain damage! Any contribution you can make would be hugely appreciated! We would love to raise £500 towards our £11,000 Roof Fund target having missed several fundraising events. Thank you!

Why it's a great idea:
As the cricket season has yet to get underway, all our fundraising event are currently cancelled and all other income has ceased. We love our cricket club and want to ensure it survives this crisis. We want to ensure there is a place for the whole community to come together to play and enjoy cricket and to socialise in a warm rainwater free environment!
Steps to get it done:
The roof was +last completely replaced in 1992 with a 10 year guarantee so we have made it last with patching and repairs for 28 years but the time has come for a full replacement!!

VolunteerHanford Cricket Club was founded in 1892 and is a very friendly and welcoming cricket club.
We have four senior teams and a growing range of junior teams.
We are the last remaining community licenced premises in the village following the closure of all traditional pubs with the last one now a restaurant.
Project Owner: Hanford Cricket Club The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
