We plan to organise the Festival every year, with the intention of bringing the local community together and raising funds to support a number of different local projects. The Event will be held at the Hedingham Football ground and profits from the 1st event, in June 2018, will go towards new club facilities, especially changing facilities for the football ground and to support the work of the youth football teams. We have already organised a number of associated events and fund raising activities, including a "Battle of the Bands" which provides a platform for Young People and their musical talents. Future events may support play facilities, art projects and youth activities in the locality.
What we'll deliver:
- Run a Music Festival on 30th June 2018
- Build new facilities at the Football Ground.
- Organise a Battle of the Bands.
- Ongoing improvements to the environment from future events.
Why it's a great idea:
This project will have multiple benefits; it will bring the whole community together, allowing people from all of the surrounding villages to participate. We intend to have a huge variety of music including Rock, Country and Pop.We will use local bands and provide opportunities for Young People to be involved. There will be a well known Headline Act to start the Event off. There are currently no other projects in this area providing this kind of whole family entertainment. The second benefit will be to help to improve the local facilities, especially for Young People. Although the Football Club will receive the majority of the funds from the first Festival we are hoping to further improve recreation facilities for our Young People as there is little provision locally.
