We would like arrange to train all the new volunteers and establish basic kit for for a new local junior only team to compete with other local clubs and encourage kids to get active and work together.

We are forming a new community based cricket club solely for juniors. Our objectives are to provide facilities for them to be able to try and develop sports skills, in particular cricket and to do this in a welcoming and safe environment. Ensuring we have trained volunteers is vital as is making sure the kids have the kit required to play games and compete against local teams. This is a full community project for the long term , and with large numbers of people offering time and support to get this off the ground and become the success we want. Last year we attracted over 50 children to the sessions and we want to increase this even more.
What we'll deliver:
- A minimum of 4 new volunteers trained
- An opportunity for a Level 2 ECB Coach to be trained
- Basic kit bag and equipment to be purchased
Why it's a great idea:
We will get kids to have fun, be active and develop their confidence. As the local community grows we need more activities for the kids to be able to participate in. Opportunities to bring the community together. Creates a platform for future generations to continue to enjoy teh local facilities.
