Here at Hattersley Big Garden Projects are looking for funding to allow us to renovate the site. The current location is in need of more than a face lift, the centre needs investment to provide key infrastructure if it is going to continue to serve the community. The initial project is to provide full drainage to the site as it currently suffers from regular water logging making it inaccessible to the more vulnerable members of our community. This will form the foundation of our longer term project of developing the site further for the benefit of all of Hattersley.

What we'll deliver:

• Remove current foundations and install drainage
• Level the site with appropriate flooring materials

Why it's a great idea:

This will ensure all members of Hattersley can access the site using for the many purposes it was intended for. These include mental health services, access to community growing plots, a children play area, seating in our peaceful spaces and access to our chickens and ducks!

Steps to get it done:

• Contract a landscaper to clear the land
• Install drainage
• Cover cleared land in appropriate pathways
