Loneliness is a big issue for disabled people living locally and you can help change this.
We are holding a Halloween Half Term Fun Day to fundraise for social activities for disabled children and adults across West Sussex.
We are looking for local businesses and people to pledge their support!
How you can help:
- Make a donation to cover the costs of the event
- Donate a prize to the raffle
- Donate children’s clothing, books and toys for our kid’s jumble sale by dropping them off at Independent Lives office in Worthing
- Come along to the Halloween Fun Day on Wednesday 24th October at Heene Road Community Centre, Worthing – 1.30pm – 5pm
- If you run children’s workshops, activities or classes locally and would be happy to run a session for free at the Fun Day we would love to have you there.
All proceeds raised at the fun day go to providing social activities for disabled children and adults across West Sussex, and will kickstart our ongoing fundraising for this cause.
What we'll deliver:
- An event that will be widely marketed to bring new people to the town centre, boosting local economy
- Volunteering opportunities
- Participatory opportunities for local people, with particular focus on hard to reach groups
- Makes Worthing a destination for tourism, helping the local economy.
- Enables people from diverse backgrounds to come together in a celebratory event
- A community event for our local area
- Will help us kickstart our fundraising campaign Out for lunch! which helps disabled people out and about
