The National Diet and Nutrition Survey (NDNS) found that nearly a third (29%) of primary school-aged children eat less than one portion of vegetables daily, with that number falling to 23% among adolescents aged 11 to 16. Our answer: Microgreens. Baby vegetables grown in a controlled environment and are up to 40 percent more nutritious than their full-grown counterparts. Microgreens are a fantastic addition to meals, as they can be grown, harvested, and consumed in as little as 10 days after planting. They are also useful for classes on nutrition and growing your own healthy foods, encouraging children to choose natural ingredients rather than processed convenience foods. The key is motivating and energising kids to WANT to make healthy food choices for themselves. Invest in the well-being of your children by growing your own organic superfoods with us. Our Micro Grow Kits include everything a child needs to grow their own food to help them feel good about themselves.

What we'll deliver:

  • 1000 homes growing microgreens using Micro Grow Kits.
  • Raise awareness via market stalls, events and workshops.
  • Encourage local preschools to incorporate the growing microgreens into their teaching program.

Why it's a great idea:

The wellbeing of your Children. The addition of microgreens to your children's diet is crucial, as these vegetables can help improve their overall health. There is no such excuse that your children don’t like them. No matter what they eat, your children can benefit from including microgreens in their diet. Microgreens are completely safe to eat. Please check for allergies. Top 5 Microgreens that children love Peas - packed with plant protein and fibre. Sunflowers - good for keeping healthy eyes, skin and hair. Broccoli - builds strong bones and can regulate blood sugar. Radish - aid in digestion and strengthens the immune system. Wheatgrass - packed with antioxidants and boosts circulation. Our Micro Grow Kits are designed to give you everything you need to grow and eat a week's worth of some of the world's healthiest, most nutrient-dense foods in the comfort of your own home. Save money • Boost Immunity • Connect with nature • Fun

Steps to get it done:

When we first began Taylor's Urban Farm in the year 2020, our primary objective was to cultivate, harvest, and distribute fresh, living foods throughout our communities. In addition, we planned to participate in a variety of community events in order to educate people about the genuine health advantages of microgreens and the significance of consuming healthy foods in order to keep our immune systems in peak condition. Let's face it, children pick up all kinds of bugs. Since we believe that prevention is better than treatment, give your children microgreens on a daily basis. You can serve them as a garnish on their favourite dish or sneak them into their sandwiches. This will provide your child's immune system with all of the raw nutrients it needs to function at peak levels. We started this company to spread the word about these miraculous, superfoods, which I believe will have a profound impact on the health of future generations. It's our no1 priority.
