Communities are currently struggling with the price of living, and as a city region there has been exponential growth through the uses of food banks.

Grow your community intends to alleviate the growing concerns that are hindering families within our region. Grow your community plans to use our green spaces to develop and grow fruits and vegetables whilst getting the community involved. For instance, the elderly and disabled within our region would be have to have hands-on and experience. This will have wider benefits than just growing food and vegetables within our region but also help the vulnerable to integrate within their communities once more.

VolunteerI have seen the decline of our communities first hand. This has lead me on a path to create and grow our communities back up to the heights they were once held. This ever growing need for families to visit foodbanks is only likely to keep growing as inflation rises and the cost of living becomes more difficult for low income families.
I care for my father full-time and have seen a decline in his social skills since the beginning of the pandemic. However, this has not changed with the reopening of our cities to what was considered normal prior to the pandemic.
This project is designed to integrate our vulnerable back in to the communities, whilst growing our communities back up to alleviate the stress families within the region have faced due to the cost of living.
