Green Market is a total food waste management solution for restaurants. Through an online platform which allows for the selling by the end of day unsold food at lower prices, Green Market provides an environmental and budget-friendly way to east high quality restaurant meals. Green Market’s objective is to reduce food waste across the hospitality industry by providing a financially attractive option which satisfies customer’s core needs.

The food waste management market is growing year on year, this extends to the leftover meal selling sub-market, where new entrants to the market have seen considerable growth although predominantly in Europe. By focusing exclusively on the UK market, providing a unique delivery option and by conducting a beachhead strategy Green Market is set to have a considerable competitive advantage.

VolunteerSaoud is a diplomat who works at the Qatar foreign office, he is on leave in order to study and complete a Master of science degree on democracy and comparative politics at UCL. He is passionate about food waste and social entrepreneurship and always knew he could find a harmonious relationship between social entrepreneurship and politics. He had his undergraduate degree at Lincoln in business and management which give him the necessary skills to understand the business creation process, and thus providing a guiding framework to conduct business creation and product launches.
His passion for the environment came from a very young age when he was part of Green Qatar’s campaigns, whose aim was to bring awareness of environmental issues to school students. He also has been active in environmental movements ever since.
