We are a disability-led organisation who specialise in teaching people with physical disabilities how to code. We are working alongside Singleton Environmental centre and making an interactive nature trail to place on the grounds of the centre. These interactive displays will be powered by solar energy and the interactive buttons when pressed will give important facts and information on how we can help the well-being of our planet and the nature around us. We want to encourage, educate and enhance our environment within our communities and beyond. By connecting people of all ages with little changes that will have a big impact in generations to come.,

What we'll deliver:

  • An interactive solar energy nature trail
  • A protection of nature
  • Encouragement, education & enhancement

Why it's a great idea:

We will educate people of all ages on how to make little changes that will combat climate change. This will be done in a tech, green, fun energy way. Our plan is to do our bit to save our nature, wildlife, help to stop pollution, minimize waste. Accessible Coders have a strong appetite and attitude towards sharing learning and connecting to others. By using solar energy, we are bringing clean energy ways.

Steps to get it done:

  • Getting together all the materials
  • Adding to our volunteers
  • Starting to build the display cabinets
  • Placing interactive buttons and coding them
  • Testing the interactive buttons checking our research
  • Having a meeting with Singleton Manager to show
  • Setting up the trail around the centre grounds
  • Grand opening of solar energy nature trail
