To help purchase BMX bikes, Full face Helmets and gloves for the local BMX club to lend to visitors of the track so they can try the sport of BMX is a safe and secure environment.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
Goldcoast is a BMX Club has been apart of Queen Elizabeth II Park View Playing Fields for over ten years and in that time it has provided a safe environment for its members & visitors of the park. To come along and try the sport of BMX. We run sessions every Saturday 10am - 5pm. Offering coaching sessions, gate sessions & open session. Within these session anyone can have a go. We would like to run free sessions for visitors of the park and local primary and high schools by being able to provide all the equipment needed for a session around the track including some free coaching by a qualified British Cycling coach.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
It provides an intro introduction it the sport of BMX and because the club is providing the equipment for Free it means anyone from any background is able to take part and to help them enjoy the experience they will also get taught the basic by a fully qualified British Cycling coach.
Steps to get it done:
The track has already proven it's self as a major part in the community it has helped lower the crime rate of under 18's & it has also contributed in tackling child obesity. The club prides it's self in being part of the community and with this investment can invest even more into the community.
