We, the Palmers Green Business Association, would like to boost the economy of our high street by using social media platforms advertise our businesses; in order to increase footfall and sales.

The PGBA would like to employ the services of to pilot a shared, six month social campaign, for 125 businesses on Green Lanes between the Palmers Green Triangle and Hedge Lane (including parts of Alderman's Hill). They will provide a coordinator, for the campaign and train a representative from each business, so that we may continue to advertise using social media after the pilot campaign is completed. The campaign is concerned with the sharing of content from each business by all businesses involved and by creating competitions that will encourage footfall to the high street.

What we'll deliver:

  • Developing Green Lanes as a destination area
  • Ensuring that the High Street does not dwindle further
  • Provide social spaces. goods and services for passing trade and residents

Why it's a great idea:

Palmers Green has suffered a great deal from the loss of trade due to environmental changes such as the Cycle Lane and Quieter Neighborhoods policy . Although these schemes are great, they are also a contributing factor for the decline of High Streets. If we want (and we do) vibrant social high streets that provide communal social spaces, services and products for residents we must be supported, trained and equipped for the changing economic climates.
