Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.

GlastonBeoley Charity Music Festival is a festival in its infancy, run by a team of volunteers who are passionate about music & community. So far, we have managed to raise and donate £26,000 to national & local charities, but a growing awareness of the essential charity work that supports our community has resulted in us focusing our efforts more locally. Our next festival will be raising money for 4 local charities. All musicians donate their valuable time & skills for free, but putting on the festival itself costs thousands of pounds every year, from Stages, sound equipment engineers, generator hire, loos! This money is raised throughout the year by us holding fundraising events such as gigs & music quizzes. *We will continue to be guided by safety considerations. In the event of needing to reschedule the festival, we will communicate this via our Spacehive page.*

What we'll deliver:

  • Hire sound equipment
  • Pay for stage hire
  • Pay for first aid and security for the festival
  • Electricity generator
  • Insurance
  • Toilet hire
  • First Aid
  • Security staff

Why it's a great idea:

It started as a birthday celebration that got out of control, and turned into a music event raising money for charity! Who benefits? Everyone!! Our festival is an affordable family event with a real ‘feel good’ factor, where people know that every penny of their ticket money will be going directly to local charities nominated by our followers. We believe that bringing people together enables us to shine a light on the amazing work that people in our community are doing to make a difference. We hope that the increased awareness of the importance of charities will increase public and community spirit. Any money raised by GlastonBeoley is raised by us ALL - from the musicians, to the volunteers, to the festival goers! We are all contributing to make a difference, and taking ownership of that feels good. We also believe that the music festival provides an opportunity for us to bring amazing musicians & music lovers together. A match made in heaven, & all for great causes.

Steps to get it done:

  • Booking the stages, PA system & sound engineers and generator
  • Booking stages
  • Booking First Aid

GlastonBeoley is run entirely by volunteers and is a non profit venture. All proceeds are given directly to selected charities. Fundraising events run throughout the year to fund the festival. If we had external support to meet festival costs, any money made through fundraising could go to our chosen charities for the year. We aim to keep festival ticket prices to a minimum, and also allow the public to bring their own food & drinks to keep costs down and to make the festival affordable. Our next festival will be raising money to support the invaluable work of the following charities Redditch Nightstop (A Charity for young homeless people) Redditch Special Olympics (a charity raising money for people with learning disabilities to access sports and training and to fund competing across the country) Redditch BabyBank (A Charity that supports families with babies who have limited income) Noah’s Star - a charity that supports families who have premature or sick babies.
