The current games room at Norbrook is very small and inadequate for the amount of young people we get on an average youth session. We want to add a fresh new space to the youth club where young people can socialise with friends and develop their skills in a variety of fun activities. More usable space will allow our team to deliver better quality youth work and give young people in wythenshawe a fantastic place where they can express themselves and have fun. Young people will be fully involved in the interior design so that they can make this space their own.

What we'll deliver:

• Design and decorate the interior with our young people
• Make slight changes to the youth club kaput to meake the best use of the new game zone
• Build the extension to the existing building

Why it's a great idea:

The great attendance at Norbrook demonstrates why young people enjoy coming. We need to develop the building to meet the demands of our young people in wythenshawe. They deserve a dedicated place where they can relax with friends and get all the opportunities on offer which will help them become better equipped in the future.

Steps to get it done:

Norbrook provides so many volunteering opportunities to adults looking to gain employment skills, work experience or just simply help young people. We also have a fantastic volunteering scheme for young people where they can gain so many skills which will help them gain confidence, gain work experience and show them that putting back in to their community is important. All our members understand the volunteering ethos at Norbrook and we want this to continue for generations to help more young people.
