Meditation is a wonderful way to relieve stress, anxiety and low mood. I want to create weekly drop in meditation and relaxation groups for people in the local community. I am a qualified counsellor and meditation teacher and I am passionate about teaching and supporting people to learn to meditate to improve mental and physical health. Meditation is not religious and doesn't involve any chanting or talking. I teach a simple breath based technique that is easy to learn and maintain. This will also be a great way to meet people in your local community and take some time for yourself.

Meditation is a great evidence based method for combatting the symptoms of anxiety, low mood and stress that can be used whenever needed. The NHS has limited space for therapy and private counselling is not affordable for many people in society. Learning self-care techniques such as meditation are vital for maintaining good mental health.
