This project is to allow young people to achieve their Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification. This qualification allows the recipient to work in Leisure Centres and Gyms throughout the UK. It also gives the person a springboard to extra qualifications in the industry such as Personal Training, it also gives them the qualifications to instruct classes, and give general advice to gym members.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This project will give young people the entry level qualification to work in a gym. With this qualification it will allow young people to be able to start a career in the fitness industry. This will increase the number of young people working in the industry which will help to promote health and wellbeing to a younger generation. Fitness is a growing industry and if we are able to inspire young people to take up a career in this industry and receive the qualifications for free or partially funded will really help to lower the barrier to entry for young people.
Steps to get it done:
Each course would normally run at the cost of £697.00 per person for level 2. This can be a considerable amount for someone under the age of 23. With the help of funding it will lower the barrier to entry and allow people to start working in the industry earlier.
