Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.

The Henfield Hall is owned by the people of Henfield and is the social centre of the village. The Hall is one of the largest in the area and is equipped for theatre, concerts, lectures and social events. It is well used by local groups who get priority and pay special rates. To remain viable we recognise the need to attract more commercial bookings and to this end we have been updating the Hall for the last 3 years. A new roof was installed over the main Hall 6 years ago and it leaked from day 1. After 5 years trying to get recompense it was decided we had no clear legal case so we have raised more money to re-clad the roof and replace the damaged ceiling and wiring. We had money for lights, windows and curtains and decorated the room but have no budget for the floor which is structurally sound but is very scruffy compared to the smart decor of the space. A professionally refinished floor will complete the wonderful job and should attract bookings to ensure Hall’s future viability

What we'll deliver:

  • A refinished 2400msq wood floor

Why it's a great idea:

A completely refurbished main hall should attract more customers and increase our income. The hall has excellent facilities with a commercial standard kitchen, flexible accommodation and a bar. We intend to run advertising and social media campaigns with high quality photos to attract events such as weddings and large family celebrations. The pictures below only show current progress but by the end of October the current phase with new gold coloured curtains will be ready. The contractors all say the floor can be done later without making a Mess but it is obvious a well finished floor is required to make sure we can portray the right image For the future of the Henfield Hall

Steps to get it done:

  • Completion of the refinish
