Let's save the environment by cutting landfill and feed those in need. We would like to purchase a chiller van and collect chilled food from supermarkets. This being chilled food that they would normally send to landfill. Just as important we want to give this food to people in need and help stop hunger. We currently collect ambient food from supermarkets. If we have a chiller van we can also collect the chilled food and stop that going to landfill too. We have been running for two years during the pandemic and have seen a great need for food on this level. As well as fruit, veg, bread and bread products we could freeze some of the chilled items and extend its' life.
