Every year a number of very inspirational people travel around our Borough - taking open air, green space, sport and arts events out to 20 villages and town recreational grounds. Last year over 5,000 people attended with children of all ages. The children really look forwards to the events returning but alas, this year we are losing a lot of funding due to cuts - this free event for everyone will be losing the inclusion of the challenging climbing walls. We need £12,000 and are seeking this amount from a number of sources in the hopes that we can raise enough money to include the climbing walls at the Family Fun Days for the children to continue to build on their existing climbing skills. We need help from people who would like to make the children happy this summer.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Many children do not have the opportunity to climb in a safe way, professionally instructed way. They love climbing so very high. The skills of climbing not only are fun at the time, building confidence and skills but inspirational to the children, who might afterwards continue to build on their climbing skills and perhaps even one day save a life. The skies the limits for children who love to climb. The children get very excited every year knowing that this opportunity will be returning. This year due to funding cuts we cannot bring the Walls to the children at our events - that is unless we get some help.
