A family festival where youth and parents gather in one place to spend time with each other. Talk about real life Issues that may usually be ignored since parents are busy working and youth “enjoying their youth” The idea is to use entertainment which is a fun factor that would attract youth to the event. Through music, dance, drama, poetic presentation and live testimonies from ex offenders and victims of violence related crimes. The reality of the message will be brought closer to the youth The project would need a free open space, mobilising the entertainers and people to present on the day, catering for food and drink, security as well as marketing for the day. The effectiveness of such a message is better than conferences which young people that I have interacted with find less engaging. In March, I successfully organised an Anti Gun and knife discussion targeting the youth and 56/70 is the audience were parent. It is from there that I researched what attracts young people.
