The Wizard Exploratorium is a family-friendly exhibit for adults and kids alike, where we demonstrate how the concepts from fantasy books and movies can be made real with today's technology. Upon entering guests receive one of our illuminated, working magic wands, which acts as the contactless interaction point for the science experiments that are spaced across the 5 floors of our bright pink Soho townhouse. Experiments combine STEM and creativity to demonstrate concepts such as levitation, spell casting, magic words, magical plants, potions, and the science of wand making. The company behind this exhibit is The Cauldron Co, a London-based technology-led entertainment studio founded by a former teacher and an actor. We are creating an interactive community space to celebrate learning, literature, and fun! We will regularly update the exhibits on a quarterly basis and run school and community-based programming and events. We want to make this a destination for local teachers.

What we'll deliver:

  • 20 interactive science experiments
  • Interior design of a 5 floor Soho townhouse
  • Destination for teachers to bring students
  • Working magic wands
  • An explicit focus on STEM and literature
  • Really really excited guests!
  • A community space

Why it's a great idea:

We want a space for parents to bring kids, teachers to bring students, and for adults to feel like kids again! Our company was founded by a former literacy and English teacher and so the main focus of this venture is to help inspire, excite, and delight kids and adults by immersing them into the imagined worlds of their childhood. We would like the Wizard Exploratorium to be a regular staple of the London community and a destination for something safe, fun, and creative in Soho. We will regularly run workshops, coding camps, creative projects, and family-friendly activities. We will also routinely host "Magic After Dark," an adults-only night with some bubbly and a bit of fun amongst the exhibits! We will look to provide first access for our events to backers of this project. This is a place of fun and imagination and we would love for you to be a part of building something magical with us!

Steps to get it done:

  • Designing the exhibits
  • Building the exhibits
  • The design and installation of Floor 1
  • The design and installation of Floor 2
  • The design and installation of the basement space
  • Soft opening
  • Grand Opening
