By Epping Playground Association
We are a parent led registered charity set up to refurbish the playground at Lower Swaines Recreation Ground in Epping, Essex.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
We are raising funds to purchase and install a cableway as one part of a wider playground project! We are working with Epping Town Council to raise the funds needed to create a space suitable for 0 -16 year olds on the current site. For the wider project, we need £120,000 to make this happen, and at the time of launching this campaign, we have raised £7,000 towards it. The current playground is in a sorry state, and is neither stimulating or exciting for any age group. The area around Lower Swaines has undergone significant development in recent years and there are many young families that need a playground they can easily access to move, play and socialise. We have developed a plan with play specialist KompanUK for our playground. We are asking you to help us to fund the cableway. We know our children will love this piece of equipment and will fill them with excitement and joy! Please help us to make this happen!
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
We firmly believe that play builds healthy children - physically, socially and emotionally and that every family in Epping should have easy access to high quality play opportunities on their doorstep. The effects of the latest series of lockdowns on the health & wellbeing of children has highlighted the need even more for this project. Our children need a space to connect, develop and grown through movement and play and we need your help to make this space a reality for our children.
