We will be working with young people between the ages of 16 and 30 to bring their social enterprise ideas to life so that they can have a positive impact on their local community. In addition, we will support young people to acquire and develop soft skills such as communication, leadership, confidence and self esteem to help them become confident social entrepreneurs. The programme will support young people to create a business plan, a vision and values document, a product development canvas and register their business. We will work with 12 local young people to create their social enterprises.

• Work with 12 people to support them through the enterprise process
• Create 12 modern and innovative business plans
• Register 12 businesses

Why it's a great idea:

The project will upskill 12 local young people to create, develop and run their own social enterprise idea which will benefit their community. This will help the young person develop soft and entrepreneurial skills that will be lasting to them which they may transfer to other walks of life. The wider community will benefit as the project will serve the community for good.

Steps to get it done:

• Create promotional material for project
• Select the appropriate referral partners
• Recruit the project participants
• Deliver 1-2-1 discovery meetings with participants

The project will support young people become active citizens in their community by empowering them with responsibility and give them the skills required to become independent.
