We would like to provide Emotional And Mental Health (EAMH) workshops to young people in 7 schools in the Sunderland area. Our workshops are fun, interactive and focus on a very important message that it's ok not to feel ok and show young people how important it is to get help if you are struggling emotionally. We have developed EAMH, our Emotional and Mental Health workshop by working with young people, teachers and mental health professionals. We have constructed a session which encourages young people to talk about the way they are feeling and emphasising that it is ‘OK not to feel OK’ and that ‘There is always a way’. EAMH has been specifically designed to be fun and interactive whilst still delivering a poignant, yet positive message. Working with children from a young age ensures that they get into the habit of speaking about their emotions removing the taboo around speaking about our emotions and reaching out for help.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
We believe that getting young people into the habit of speaking about their emotions and reaching out for help could save a life. We want young people to get into the habit of speaking out when they are struggling. Our sessions show young people that it is 'ok not to be ok' and show them how to reach out for help. We have worked with over 55,000 young people and 98% say that they are more likely to reach out for support as a result of our sessions. 100% also say they are more aware of the support available and how to get it.
