Ever wanted to learn how to upcyle your old or unloved clothes? Ever wanted to know how to upcycle or reuse an item or learn some sewing, mending or how to breathe new life into clothes and other bric-a-brac? Then WIILMA's E17 Fashion & Crafts Hub will enable you to do just that. Local skilled creatives will run workshops to teach you how, whilst reducing waste and lower carbon emissions in a sustainable way, given the garments industry is the second largest polluter after Fossil Fuels. So you can create beautiful things whilst saving the planet! Now how can you say no to that? We will also be breathing new life into the Walthamstow High Street/Mall due to the growing number of long term empty retail units and we have received in Principle support from the Council for our project and they will help us to source an empty retail unit we could use and then turn into a charity shop to help raise funds to support vulnerable and isolated people the way we have been doing during Covid19.
