A two day dog obedience event, with four shows in total. People will travel from a wide area to take part, and will also support the local economy by purchasing food/drink/fuel etc, as well as possibly booking B&Bs etc

What we'll deliver:

  • Event to bring people together, enhancing lives

Why it's a great idea:

This will help to promote dog training, bring like minded people of all ages together, and boost the local economy. It will also promote exercise and access to the outdoors.

Steps to get it done:

  • Buy equipment
  • Book licences
  • Take entries
  • Hold event
  • Arrange storage of equipment

Any funding will be put towards capital costs, to try to ensure that this becomes a regular (probably annual) event.

Overfunding

This project is enabled for overfunding. If the project hits its funding goal before the end of the campaign period, any extra funds raised will be spent (in order of priority) on:

  • We'll use extra funds to help secure the event in future years, by putting it towards:
  • - Additional equipment purchases, e.g. ring poles/rope/scent cloths/tables/chairs
  • - Storage facilities for the equipment
  • - Transportation e.g. van hire
