Ain't nothing wrong with pretty but there's a whole lotta wrong with rubbish. And we're tired of the rubbish from Hounslow and the rubbish on the streets. We're tired of paying rates both at home and at work and tripping over uncollected trash. We've already started on this mission when we replanted the space at the intersection of Chiswick High Road and Chiswick Lane. Now we could use your help in the next phases. Eventually we envision replanting as many forgotten patches of the High Road as possible.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Removing the overgrown eyesores and beautifying Chiswick High Road will, if nothing else, improve the day-to-day quality of life for residents and visitors. Instead of walking past a pile of weeds, maybe there's a bench beside a new garden where you can share lunch with a friend. Or read a book. Or check email. Instead of attempting to lock your bike on a damaged bike racks, maybe there's a more aesthetic piece of "street furniture" that would promote cycling. Instead of countless sign posts, maybe there's far fewer of them getting in the way yet still relaying the information necessary. It's called urban planning and Hounslow has let us down. What's worse...they don't seem to care nor have a plan in place to improve the situation they themselves have created. We want you to get up right now, sit up, go to your windows, open them and stick your head out and yell - 'I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore! Network. Anyone? Anyone at all?
Steps to get it done:
As we have already demonstrated, we would employ local talents and encourage our business neighbours participation to the extent possible. We have found that sometimes local resources are unable or unwilling, but we won't let that stop us.
