I want to deliver practical realistic workshops teaching skills used in the garment industry. From fabric cutting, lay planning, pattern cutting and maunfacturing (making) garments. Opportunity for learning various techniques to produce garments to a high quality standard. Learners can then use the skills for employment in the industry or for setting up their own business within the local area.

What we'll deliver:

  • workshops to develop skilled workers ready for the garment industry
  • Machines for the workshops
  • Materials and eqipments to support the workshops
  • Bussiness development workshops

Why it's a great idea:

This project is great because it will not only create workers with skills to find great jobs needing their skills, but encourage and impower individuals to start there own businesses too in the area which in result will benefit the local economy. There is also a real shortage of skills gap in this area of work and we wish to contribute to filling that passionately through offering hands on vocational learning and employment opportunities.

Steps to get it done:

  • Buy professional equipment and other vital machinary to set up the factory
  • offer both offorable and free courses
  • Pay for the lease for the next three years
  • Buy the machinary rather than lease

Increase the chances of learners finding work or building their own business in the industry with our support. Bring awareness of this beautiful creative industry. It will impact the local area of having a creative hub for clothing industry learning. It will bring in more creative businesses in the area It will inspire the young generation to carve carrer paths in this area ready to work in the industry.
