Design Brighton is an essential new architectural design festival featuring revolutionary urban design and the role that all stakeholders play in shaping, defining and rejuvenating a region – in this case, Brighton and its surrounding areas.
Design Brighton urban festival is the first of its kind in the Brighton and Hove area and a unique way to reach and influence the 5,000 architects, designers and developers based across the region and working internationally and their local and national clients.
We are supported by Brighton & Hove City Council and have established strong links with all the area’s development design and delivery community, giving us exceptional access to key decision makers and influencers in the city and beyond.

Why it's a great idea:
We are planning across the region a programme of design workshops, showroom areas, speaker and panel discussions, open studios and workshops, heritage and architecture trails, film showings, hospitality and networking events and a Design Brighton Award event. All of which offer opportunities for sponsorship that will provide exposure to the local market and national visitors and participants.
This is supported by a year long programme of Design Brighton Partner events designed to keep up the momentum and provide an ongoing forum for planning, regeneration and design and construction issues that both provide opportunities and affect the region’s community.
This is an opportunity to engage with an informed, engaged and affluent community at a momentous point in the city’s history. The opportunities for development are well accepted but countered by the demands of a community that is determined to retain the character and diversity of the region.
Steps to get it done:
- Create an Urban Room where the public can physically attend to see what is happening in the region.
