Debden Village hall was built in 1922 as a gift to the local community, but today it is beyond economic repair. A new build is desperately needed to provide facilities for the local community to use and enjoy every day. Including dance, keep fit, weddings and birthday parties, Christmas and Harvest festival suppers, coffee mornings for the elderly, etc. We are just under half way in our funding target at £303,000 - which is a huge achievement, but we need your support to help us raise the rest of the funds. Please donate generously to help us achieve our target which has so far taken us 18 years to date! Please support us!

What we'll deliver:

  • To build a new village hall for the community of Debden
  • To continue to provide much needed facilities for today and future generations
  • To provide a warm, safe, happy setting for local people.

Why it's a great idea:

A new hall will benefit the local community, as a much needed facility for all ages. It also benefits the wider community including the army families at nearby Carver barracks, plus local sports teams as the hall is adjacent to the Debden Recreation Ground.

Steps to get it done:

  • We aim to lay the foundation stone on 11th Nov 2018

We have been fundraising and planning for a New Village Hall in Debden for 18 years! We are aiming to lay the first foundation stone on 11th Nov. 2018 to commemorate the end of WWI. Please help us make 2018-19 our last year of fundraising so we can finally start the build.
