Debden Village hall was built in 1922 and left in trust to the local community, but today it is beyond economic repair. A new build is desperately needed to provide facilities for the local community to use and enjoy every day. Including dance, keep fit, weddings and birthday parties, Christmas and Harvest festival suppers, coffee mornings for the elderly, etc. We are just under half way in our funding target at £333,000 - which is a huge achievement, but we need your support to help us raise £25,000 towards architects fees, surveys, legalities, etc. Please donate generously to help us achieve our target. We need your support!
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
A new hall will benefit the local community, as a much needed facility for all ages. It also benefits the wider community including the military and their families at nearby Wimbish Station/Carver barracks, plus local sports teams as the hall is adjacent to the Debden Recreation Ground.
Steps to get it done:
We have been fundraising and planning for a New Village Hall in Debden for 18 years! We laid the first foundation stone on 11th Nov. 2018 to commemorate the end of WWI. Please help us make 2019-20 our last years of fundraising so we can finally start the build.
