A Weymouth/Dorchester based stay and play group centred around sustainable toys and learning/ activity centres! We are wanting to support parents as much as possible as we know juggling raising a child and your own mental wellbeing is a task in its self! The group is to be a montessori style free play with section dedicated to parents to seeking solitude and support. We know how much an adult chat and a cup of tea can change how the day feels. Think a home away from home! All the fun and comfort of letting your child play with their friends without the worry of tidying and cleaning before and after. Allow yourself a second to breath and relax while your kids have fun and entertain themselves in a safe and sucure environment.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Creating a safe place for discussions around parenting techniques and allowing companionship in other parents makes it easier to get advice on gentle and attachment parenting I've listed some benefits of Gentle Parenting below: - Emotional regulation in children - children have more self-worth - Children are more likely to succeed in school - Childhood emotional trauma is less likely - Children are more social - Parents are more relaxed - Children and Parents create an open line of communication What do these benefits potentially mean for the community: - Lower crime rates - Higher grades - Less drug and alcohol abuse - Help being sought before a problem spirals - Less strain on mental health professionals - More respectful adults
Steps to get it done:
Some of these benefits may seem extreme to someone looking from the outside in but I really do believe gentle parenting is a way forward to create a better community and a better life for everyone! I am hoping to source all toys as ethically as possible to lead by example, so toys and activity centers will be of a higher cost which has resulted in me seeking financial help for this dream I hope to make a reality in 2022.
