we are a small thriving club that is struggling due to covid 19 and need assistance to cover annual running costs whilst we cannot play

We now have more children coming to the club and are actively looking to expand, especially recruiting girls to the club. Currently 31% of the club are girls, but we want to make our club the most girl friendly in the area, and get the figure closer to 50%. We already have one girl playing county cricket, and one trialling for district, but we feel there is a great pool of untapped talent in the community which maybe do not think of cricket as a sport for girls. Maybe they are put off by the amount of boys in a club. We think we can change that. Cricket is a great sport for girls, and they can compete at the same level as boys. With the success of the England Womens cricket team, now is the ideal time to push the sport to girls. Because we are expanding the club, and have more different age group teams, a bank of four nets will help us to coach children of different abilities. In this "off season" we want to set ourselves up for the return to cricket

VolunteerThe village of Culworth has benefitted from a junior cricket team for more than 20 years. Now with teams folding in surrounding villages due to fields being sold for housing, or a lack of volunteers willing to run it, Culworth has become an important hub for children wanting to play cricket in the South Northamptonshire area. We hold weekly training sessions for about 40 children aged from 5-17 years old. We also have matches for under 8s (kwik cricket), under 11s, U13s, and under 15s. These run from April to the end of the August
Project Owner: culworth cricket club The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
