Feed'Em Music Group creates opportunities for young creatives to bridge the gap between education, training, and employment. The group envisages a ‘creative hub’ as a social full-fledged enterprise setting up a base for budding youths who are seeking for outlets to kickstart their musical careers while offering the requisite support, representation, industry know-how and resources. Currently we offer work placements, mentoring, workshops, music production and support at various schools, colleges, pru, youth centers, and churches. We have partnership with Pirate Studios, Brent Education Outreach Network, Barking and Dagenham College, Newham Council and Waltham Forest. The creative hub will serve as a production house for professional work. We will have a music recording studio, photography and filming studio, podcast studio, digital marketing suit, performance space, cafe
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Our production hub will create a community, outlet, network and co-working space in our community. This will encourage collaborations among youth and working professionals. We aim to bridge the gap between education and employment. The local youth will have the opportunity to develop skills, learn, and gain valuable work and experiences that will help with their personal development. In North Woolwich developing areas Gallions Reach/King George V area there is no community center and many creative outlets. The youth have no where to go to develop themselves outside of school. We want supply resources for professional use and leisure. The aim is to increase employ-ability in the area and give people outlets for self expression through arts and multi-media. Try and think about what your project will bring to the area. Who will it benefit, and how? Why does your area need this? Are you solving a particular challenge? Does any research back you up?
