The project 'Carving Out Your Life Plan!' is of a strong and meaningful message. We have intentionally chosen this title due to the connotations of the word 'carving'. The word 'carving' connotes to the detrimental use of knives amongst the youth and women. Within the youth, there is a vast rise in knife crime and within household communities, the woman is only assumed to cooking (with the knife). With this project we intend to change the role of the knife into a positive output, hence we intend to help others 'carve-out' their future life plans with their knife amongst ethnic communities. This is because we want to impact all our youths and female communities in .. by encouraging immense change and development amongst them. To do so, we will offer employment and training to these categories, as well empowering them towards their achievable goal. This will happen under the company Ramis-Ark Global, which will provide constant support, supervision, and guidance as a social enterprise.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This Legal -Aid drop-in clinic project is an excellent idea as it enables and exemplifies growing partnerships amongst ethnic communities. Not only does it focus on the youth and women but it brings these two categories together, therefore strengthening relationships. These relationships will carry the fuel and heart of this project as it would encourage the creation of weekly clubs, one-to-one assessments, supervisions, and meetings. Clearly this would provide a democratic voice amongst all enrolled in this project, all whilst ensuring every single individual is provided with moral support. This project will attempt to keep younger people out of knife crime and keep them engaged by being a positive contributor to their lives. As for women, it will provide an alternative role that can not only empower them but assist them with achieving their goal by leading and supporting them on a one-to-one basis.
Steps to get it done:
This is a Legal-Aid Drop-in clinic that will provide an answer to our local community issues such as the issue of knife crime and the vulnerability of women who have faced a life challenging and threatening difficulties.
