The project consists, currently, of a number of community events over the weekend of the coronation. This is a celebration of the Coronation of King Charles the Third for all residents of the parishes of Adlington, Anderton and Heath Charnock. Of a similar nature but on a smaller scale to the Platinum Jubilee celebrations last year.

What we'll deliver:

• An event at Adlington Community Centre with a livestream of the coronation
• An evening event at Adlington Community Centre to celebrate the coronation
• A service a St Paul's church to celebrate the coronation on the Sunday
• An event at Fairview Community Centre to celebrate the coronation on the Monday
• A 'treasure trail' round the village for children and parents
• A commemorative item will be provided for every child at the villages' primary schools.

Why it's a great idea:

This will be a big community celebration of the coronation over the three days with opportunities for the residents of three Parishes to come together in social situations and events. The events will include opportunities for activity around the villages for families and individuals. Most events will be run by volunteers from local organisations and individuals for the benefit of the whole community.
