The site benefits from a direct bus route to Blackpill from Swansea’s Central bus station, plus the promenade has a cycle path, which is part of the National Cycle Network, which adds to its accessibility and supports the green agenda. The site already benefits from family oriented footfall and this will benefit the skatepark in terms of cementing it as a family based facility. In addition to supporting the annual maintenance of the skatepark area, we aim to provide additional extras in support of the new skatepark, including memorial benches, family seating, bike racks and shaded areas. We will also work closely with the Mumbles Community Council to arrange and support annual events/contests
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The project aims to ensure the community is fully engaged with the skatepark and it has a true sense of community ownership, which in turn will increase foot fall to the park and increase health and wellbeing amongst users and families
