A studio and cafe where everyone can come along and have a go at throwing on the wheel, hand building or painting pre-fired pieces. Or maybe just enjoy a beverage and watch others enjoy the experience. Workshops for schools and adult learning centres, tuition provided for all levels of ability. A great experience for the tourists to the area also. Generating local jobs for the community and the opportunity for growing creativity within the town and surrounding areas. A chance for new and upcoming artists to realise their talent and show their work.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Pottery is becoming more popular now through the interest in the great pottery throw down on television but is not represented well in the Suffolk and Norfolk areas. We need more opportunities in the area for the arts and design. Everyone is able to participate and it will be a great place for groups to use. A very therapeutic feeling comes from working with clay and this is a great way for people to express themselves and relax.
Steps to get it done:
I have plans for further growth as the business expands in years to come. This will increase jobs even more and hopefully include other arts too.
