Years ago Councillor George Young got us two porta cabins for the Wesley Estate as a Community Centre/hub. This was eventually burnt down by one of the unruly youths on our Estate after having been neglected for some time. When it was working well it was thriving with parties for younger children youth club for teenagers, keep fit for older persons and art classes. We live amongst a lot of Industry and want to keep our youngsters off the streets and out of trouble. The Council could pay some people to run youth activities and sports activities and we have many talents living here who could donate their time to run other activities.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
It would improve morale and could be used as a polling station when needed.
Steps to get it done:
Council would need to look after the building with the help of residents and maintain it.
